Unitree Go2-W Review Summary
Legs handle stairs and rough ground; wheels are faster and more efficient on flat floors. The Go2-W has both. Each leg ends in a 7-inch pneumatic tire with an in-wheel motor, so the robot rolls where it can and steps where it must. The four extra motors bring the total to 16. It weighs about 18 kg, carries about 8 kg and runs for 1.5 to 3 hours.
Pros
Wheels and legs in one robot
Light at about 18 kg
3D LiDAR included
Open to development
Up to 3 hours of endurance
Cons
2.5 m/s top speed
No protection rating stated
Payload of about 8 kg
Who It Is For
It fits research groups and developers who want an affordable-class platform for wheel-leg locomotion.
