Unitree As2-W Review Summary
The As2-W is a 25 kg robot that rolls at up to about 6 m/s and still climbs. On 7-inch wheels it covers about 30 km in three hours without load, or carries 16 kg for more than two hours. It keeps the 95 N·m joints of the top As2, so it can lock its wheels and step up 30 cm stairs or climb obstacles of 0.4 to 0.8 m, and it holds a static load of about 150 kg. Industrial LiDAR, IP54 protection and operation from -20 to 55 °C are standard. Two versions exist, X and EDU; the EDU adds a charging dock and compute expansion.
Pros
About 6 m/s top speed
About 30 km range
Strong joints at 25 kg weight
Industrial LiDAR and IP54
Development supported on both versions
Cons
16 kg moving payload
Who It Is For
It fits users who need a fast, light patrol or research platform for mixed ground.
