Unitree As2 Review Summary
The As2 sits above the Go2 in Unitree's consumer and education range. Unitree describes its dynamic performance as about twice that of the Go2: joints of up to 95 N·m, a standing load of up to 65 kg and running speeds above 5 m/s on the top versions, in a robot that weighs 20 kg. Runtime reaches four hours and about 20 km. The versions differ widely. The AIR has a smaller battery, no protection rating and no development access; development is supported only on the X and EDU. Unitree notes that its data comes from laboratory conditions.
Pros
Strong joints for a 20 kg robot
Up to 4 hours and 20 km
Industrial LiDAR on PRO and above
Four versions for different budgets
IP54 on PRO and above
Cons
AIR has no protection rating and a 6-month warranty
Development only on X and EDU
Figures from laboratory conditions
Who It Is For
It fits users who have outgrown the Go2: enthusiasts on the AIR and PRO, and developers and universities on the X and EDU.
