Unitree Go2-W Review: Specs and Uses of the Wheeled Quadruped Robot
Updated: 7 days ago

The Unitree Go2-W is a version of the Go2 robot dog with a driven wheel at the end of each leg. Unitree does not list a price on the product page. This review covers its specifications, design and uses.
Quick Verdict
Legs handle stairs and rough ground; wheels are faster and more efficient on flat floors. The Go2-W has both. Each leg ends in a 7-inch pneumatic tire with an in-wheel motor, so the robot rolls where it can and steps where it must. The four extra motors bring the total to 16. It weighs about 18 kg, carries about 8 kg and runs for 1.5 to 3 hours. Top speed of 2.5 m/s is lower than the legged Go2 can reach, and the page gives no protection rating.
