Cognex In-Sight SnAPP Overview

The Cognex In-Sight SnAPP is a compact vision sensor with a 1.6 MP (1440 x 1080) monochrome or color CMOS sensor and embedded, pre-trained AI. It is trained with a few sample images through a browser interface and is used for presence and absence checks, assembly inspection and sorting at manual and robot-tended stations. An autofocus liquid lens with 6.2 mm or 16 mm focal length is built in, and a fixturing function locates parts in any position. The IP67 housing weighs 141 g with the 6.2 mm lens and 169 g with the 16 mm lens. It runs on 24 V DC or Power over Ethernet at no more than 7.5 W and has Gigabit Ethernet with high-speed inputs and outputs.
