Cognex DataMan 8700 Overview

The Cognex DataMan 8700 is a series of rugged handheld barcode readers with a 1.6 MP sensor that decodes 1D codes, 2D codes and direct part marks in under 150 ms. It is used at manual stations beside automated and robotic lines to identify parts, track work in progress and read marks on metal, plastic and labels. The 8700DX has an 8 mm liquid lens with diffuse, polarized and direct red lighting, the 8700DQ a 6.2 mm lens with white diffuse lighting, the 8700LX an 8 mm lens with direct red lighting and the 8700HD a 12 mm lens with diffuse red lighting.
