SMC LEHZ Overview

The SMC LEHZ is a compact two-finger parallel electric gripper with an opening/closing stroke of 4 to 30 mm, a gripping force of 6 N to 210 N across the six body sizes (10, 16, 20, 25, 32 and 40) and a repeatability of ±0.02 mm. It is designed for general pick-and-place and assembly work where gripping force, speed and finger position need to be set per workpiece, at up to 64 points. Compact versions of sizes 10 to 25 deliver 2 N to 28 N. The gripper weighs between 135 g and 1,760 g, is driven by a 24 VDC step motor with servo control and operates at 5 to 40 °C. It is run from an SMC step motor controller with parallel I/O or a fieldbus connection.
