SMC LEHS Overview
The SMC LEHS is a three-finger electric gripper with a stroke of 4 to 12 mm in diameter, a gripping force of 2.2 N to 130 N across the four body sizes (10, 20, 32 and 40) and a repeatability of ±0.02 mm. It is designed for centring and gripping round or cylindrical workpieces, with position, speed and force programmable at up to 64 points. Compact versions of sizes 10 and 20 deliver 1.4 N to 17 N. The gripper weighs between 150 g and 1,265 g, is driven by a 24 VDC step motor with servo control and operates at 5 to 40 °C. It is run from an SMC step motor controller with parallel I/O or a fieldbus connection.
