ACS PDMnt Pulse Direction Drive Interface

ACS PDMnt is an EtherCAT-connected pulse/direction interface for commanding external drives from the SPiiPlus platform. Although the directory heading calls it motor drives, the manufacturer identifies it as a command interface supporting up to four axes.
Key Specifications
Specification | Details |
Reviewed product | PDMnt pulse/direction drive-interface module |
Host | Supported ACS SPiiPlus Platform EtherCAT MainDevice |
Command channels | Up to four pulse/direction axes |
Power-stage boundary | External motor drives are required |
Feedback boundary | Current manufacturer specification lists no encoder channels |
Mounting | Manufacturer identifies panel or DIN-rail mounting |
Engineering Assessment
Evaluate PDMnt when a supported ACS controller must command compatible external pulse/direction drives. Specify the signal interface and complete axis architecture; PDMnt is not the motor-power amplifier and does not provide direct encoder feedback channels.
Applications
Machine and motion control in automation systems
