Shibaura Machine THL800, THL900 and THL1000 Review Summary

The large THL models are built to be light and economical. Shibaura says they are up to 56% lighter and use up to 68% less peak power than its previous models: 33 to 37 kg and 1.4 kVA. All three carry up to 10 kg, rated 2 kg, have a 300 mm vertical stroke and repeat to ±0.02 mm in X-Y. Standard cycles are 0.47 to 0.48 s. They give up some payload and speed compared with the THE800 and THE1000 in exchange for half the weight.

Pros

  • Very light

  • Low power

  • 300 mm vertical stroke

  • ±0.02 mm

Cons

  • Rated payload 2 kg

  • Lower composite speed than THE models

Who It Is For

They fit users who want long-reach SCARA robots with low weight and energy use.
