Shibaura Machine BA-III 3- and 4-Axis Review Summary
Instead of combining axes yourself, these models arrive as defined XYZ or XYZR combinations. Ball screw versions carry 3 to 40 kg at up to 1,200 mm/s horizontally with ±0.01 mm repeatability on most axes; belt versions carry 4 to 14 kg at 1,000 mm/s and ±0.04 mm. Four-axis models add a rotary axis with harmonic or planetary gearing and carry 5 to 10 kg. The vertical axis always has a brake.
Pros
Ready-made combinations
±0.01 mm
Up to 40 kg
Rotary option
Who It Is For
It fits machine builders who want a cartesian robot without designing the axis combination.
