Shibaura Machine THE800 and THE1000 Review Summary
These two share everything but the first arm length. Both carry up to 20 kg, rated 5 kg, with a vertical stroke of 420 mm, twice that of the THE600. The THE800 completes the standard cycle in 0.41 s and the THE1000 in 0.44 s, with composite speeds of 8.4 and 9.5 m/s. Repeatability is ±0.025 mm in X-Y and ±0.01 mm in Z. At 46 and 49 kg they are light for the class. They use the same TS5000 controllers as the smaller models.
Pros
20 kg maximum payload
420 mm vertical stroke
Light for the class
Shared controller with other models
Cons
Rated payload is 5 kg
Repeatability looser than the THE600
Who It Is For
They fit lines that need SCARA speed with larger reach and heavier parts.
