RoboDK Review Summary
RoboDK's position is simple: one affordable tool for robots of almost any brand. Its library holds more than 1,400 robots from over 80 manufacturers, and post processors turn a simulated program into the native language of the controller, such as ABB RAPID, Fanuc LS, KUKA SRC, Motoman JBI or Universal Robots scripts. The Professional licence is permanent at $3,995 with one year of maintenance, far below the simulation suites of the large robot and CAD vendors. It lacks the plant-level simulation depth of those suites. A 30-day trial and a $145 yearly educational licence make it easy to evaluate.
Pros
$3,995 permanent licence
More than 1,400 robots from over 80 makers
Native program output for many controllers
Python, C# and C++ API
Free 30-day trial
Cons
Less plant-level simulation than large suites
Calibration needs the $17,995 licence and measurement equipment
Maintenance is extra after the first year
Who It Is For
It fits integrators, machine shops and schools that program robots of several brands and want one low-cost tool.
