QTL Torque Motor Series

The QTL 485 is the largest of the high-torque Tecnotion motor series. It has a cooling ring, which should be closed with the housing, creating a cooling channel. It has the same efficient and space-saving electromagnetic design scaled up for even higher torque demands. With a big inner diameter, it is suitable to integrate into an (existing) application like rotary indexing tables, and materials handling. It will deliver 659-907 Nm continuous torque and 1651-2202 Nm ultimate torque, depending on the motor height. Ultimate torque: 1651 – 2202 Nm Peak torque: 1342 – 1789 Nm Continuous torque: 659 – 907 Nm The build heights are: 485-85 // 485-105 The QTL motor series are our largest torque motors, yet very compact for high torque density. The QTL is frameless and therefore can be integrated directly into the machine structure, while the spacious open inner diameter enables wire and cable feedthrough. The advantages of the QTL motor series • High voltage insulated, up to 300 VDC/600 VDC, bus voltage • Good product repeatability • 100% QC • Large inner diameter • Low stator and rotor mass • Shielded cable with strain relief • Low cogging value, Low total harmonic distortion (THD) The QTL series is suitable for a variety of markets including packaging, laser cutting , rotary indexing tables , printing, and materials handling.

Review Summary
The QTL family is a strong candidate for an OEM rotary table, printing axis or handling mechanism where direct drive and a large center opening justify custom mechanical and thermal engineering. Choose the exact diameter and height against moving torque, holding torque and the full speed cycle. A 2202 Nm Ultimate headline does not describe continuous output, and a cooling ring does not constitute an installed cooling system.
