Piab piSOFTGRIP 50 Overview
The Piab piSOFTGRIP 50 is a vacuum-driven soft gripper for objects of around 50 mm, made as a two-finger model (50-2) and a three-finger model (50-3). The three-finger model carries a payload of up to 250 g. It is designed for delicate, lightweight items such as small fruit and pralines, and the two-finger model suits oblong items such as waffle cones. The fingers are moulded in one piece from detectable silicone approved for food contact under FDA 21 CFR and EU 1935/2004. The gripper weighs 55 g, operates at a vacuum level of 20 kPa to 60 kPa and mounts on the same fittings as piGRIP suction cups.
