Piab KenOS KCS Overview
The Piab Kenos KCS is a foam vacuum gripper for collaborative robots with a 110 x 110 mm gripping area. One or two integrated COAX SX42 ejector cartridges generate the vacuum, reaching up to 90 kPa and a flow of 7.3 Nl/s with a single cartridge. It is designed for picking boxes and objects of differing shapes, including porous ones, and a flow restrictor keeps the vacuum up when the foam is only partly covered. The gripper weighs 623 g and takes compressed air at up to 7 bar, consuming 2.2 Nl/s. A quick-change system allows fast changeover between applications.
