Ocado OCADEX Robotic Arms Review Summary
OCADEX arms work on top of the Ocado grid or stand-alone. On-Grid Robotic Pick identifies, picks and packs items from storage bins, packing densely while protecting delicate products. Robotic Sort Putwall lifts items to find barcodes and places them into putwall bins for parcel and e-commerce sortation. The arms use multiple sensors, computer vision and reinforcement learning, can pick without prior item knowledge, and share learning across a global cloud network. Grippers can be swapped between vacuum and mechanical.
Pros
Handles delicate items
Learns continuously
Swappable grippers
Scalable
Cons
No pick rate published
Best with Ocado grid
Who It Is For
It fits Ocado system operators and parcel sorters wanting to automate each picking.
