Ocado IQ Review Summary
Ocado IQ decides what gets picked, by whom and in what order. Two pick modes run side by side, configured per aisle: sweep pairs one associate with one bot, the other pairs one associate with several bots. Picking method is set per SKU, and the system chooses in real time between batch, discrete and cluster picking. Smart allocation rebalances zones, prioritises urgent orders, plans routes and resolves errors automatically. Beyond picking it handles putaway, returns, cross-docking, sortation, cartonization and packout. The Bridge gives supervisors live control and alerts. Ocado claims 2 to 3x productivity, 14-week go-live and 15 to 30 minutes of training; these are vendor figures.
