IAI IXA SCARA Robot Review Summary
The IXA covers a broad span for a single SCARA family. Standard and high-speed versions reach 1000 mm of total arm length with 21 or 24 kg of payload, and a high-payload version reaches 1200 mm with 50 kg, which is a great deal for a SCARA. There are IP65 dust- and splash-proof versions and an ISO Class 3 cleanroom version with a 600 mm arm. Every axis has a battery-less absolute encoder, so no battery changes and no homing. The controller adds compliance control for soft insertion and collision detection.
Pros
Up to 50 kg payload
Arms up to 1200 mm
