Güdel CP 3-Axis Gantry Review Summary
The CP gives three-axis reach without a second row of legs. The cross axis projects from a single beam, which leaves the floor on the open side free for machines, conveyors or operators. The price of that is payload: the range tops out at 5,000 N on the CP-5 HD, far below the FP area gantry. Four models start at 800 N, horizontal speeds reach 150 m/min and repeatability is ±0.02 mm. Payload must sit within ±50 mm of the vertical axis centre, and falls with long vertical strokes.
Pros
Open side keeps floor clear
±0.02 mm repeatability
Up to 150 m/min
Shares parts with other Güdel gantries
Cons
5,000 N maximum
Payload must be near the Z axis centre
Motors and control not included
Who It Is For
It fits cells where three-axis handling is needed and one side must remain accessible.
