Festo EHMD Overview
The Festo EHMD is a compact rotary gripper module in size 40 that combines endless electric rotation with an electric or pneumatic two-jaw gripper. The rotary drive delivers up to 0.3 Nm at up to 240 rpm; the electric gripper applies 7 N to 35 N per jaw over a stroke of 5 mm or 15 mm per jaw, and the pneumatic gripper applies 25 N per jaw at 6 bar over 5 mm. It is designed for handling small parts, for instance gripping and turning them in one unit. The module weighs between 577 g and 724 g, runs on 24 V DC and has IP20 protection for ambient temperatures from 0 °C to +40 °C. It is driven by the Festo CMMT-ST servo drive.
