Comau MI.RA/Picker
A useful system-level option for feeding rigid parts whose poses are unpredictable. Its value is reducing the preparation needed before a robot can pick; the limiting factors are reliable grasps, visibility and recovery near the bottom of the bin. Consider machine feeding and component transfer from bins containing rigid parts with a known geometry and viable grasp surfaces. Flexible or entangled goods need a separate feasibility study.

Review Highlights
Strengths: Combines perception with motion feasibility; Handles disordered part presentation; Supports multiple grasp choices.
Key considerations: Rate depends on the complete cell; Occlusion and entanglement remain physical limits.
Trial several complete bins, including reflective parts, partial occlusion, double picks and the last reachable parts. Measure accepted placements and human interventions.
