Review Summary
Ninox 1280 merits evaluation for low-signal imaging where the spectral response and cooled operating point suit the experiment. Current manufacturer material starts the response at 0.6 µm, whereas the older catalog states 0.4 µm. Use the current ordered-device response and do not promise the wider old range. The 1280 × 1024 image and cooling should be qualified with the actual optical signal.
Integration and Selection
The identified Camera Link output is 12-bit with a listed 10–60 Hz range. Match the receiver, cable, representation and supported mode. Longer exposure and the maximum cadence need separate qualification. Cooling stabilization, exposure and corrected image delivery are part of the complete workflow. Measure usable frames and host processing rather than reading a nominal rate as experiment throughput.
