Neuromeka Indy7 Review Summary
The Indy7 is the best-known cobot from the Korean maker Neuromeka. Its reach of 1300 mm is long for a 7 kg cobot, although the reach falls to 800 mm when the full payload is carried. It detects collisions without separate joint sensors, can be taught by hand and is programmed from an Android tablet. The control box offers EtherCAT and a generous set of I/O.
Pros
1300 mm reach in the 7 kg class
Collision detection without joint torque sensors
Direct teaching by hand
EtherCAT and 32 digital I/O channels
Programming from an Android tablet
Cons
Reach falls to 800 mm at full payload
Maximum TCP speed of 1 m/s
Who It Is For
The Indy7 fits small and medium manufacturers that need a long-reach cobot for machine tending, assembly and inspection of parts up to 7 kg.
