MOONS Coreless Brushed DC Motors

MOONS’ coreless brushed DC motors use a self-supporting rotor winding instead of an iron-core rotor. The supplied range identifies 13, 17 and 24 mm diameters and speed references up to approximately 12,900 rpm. The selected winding and duty determine the usable operating point.
Key Specifications
Specification | Details |
Architecture | Coreless brushed DC |
Listed diameters | 13, 17 and 24 mm |
Rotor | Self-supporting winding |
Speed reference | Up to approximately 12,900 rpm across the range |
Engineering Assessment
A useful compact motor architecture for instruments where low rotor inertia and simple brushed control are valuable. The family’s maximum speed must not be treated as a continuous loaded rating for every size.
Applications
Pipettes, spectrophotometers, sample-preparation mechanisms, balances and micro-diaphragm pumps.
Industries: Manufacturing and automation
