maxon Exoskeleton Drive GEN.1 Joint Actuator

maxon’s 2017 GEN.1 exoskeleton drive integrated an EC90 flat brushless motor, a planetary gearhead, joint feedback and an EPOS4 position controller. The announcement targeted hip and knee actuation. Its 54 N·m continuous and 120 N·m at 20% duty figures belong to that historical integrated configuration, not to every current maxon joint drive.

Review Summary
Consider GEN.1 as a documented legacy reference or a supplier discussion starting point for a supported joint solution. Confirm present availability and the required application specification. A compact drive component is not an approved exoskeleton, clinical treatment or complete wearable safety system.
