LUCID Helios2 Overview

LUCID Helios2 uses time-of-flight acquisition to provide depth information. The exact generation, receiving arrangement and distance mode define its practical scope. This source-based review does not claim a hands-on test or unconditional measurement performance.

Review Summary
Standard Helios2 merits evaluation when its industrial depth-camera arrangement and supported GigE receiving fit the task. The current product specifies a 640 × 480 depth grid and an extended working range. A sub-millimeter precision headline is conditional and should not become a universal accuracy guarantee across all objects, ranges and ambient conditions.
Integration and Selection
Use the selected operating-distance mode and exposure with the actual target and environment. Test supported hardware or software triggering and any required synchronization through the commissioned pipeline. Depth receiving, point-cloud processing and final machine decisions have separate delay. A 30 fps specification does not guarantee that every required 3D decision completes within one frame period.
