Dürr EcoRP4 Painting Robot Review Summary
EcoRP4's main change is geometry: asymmetric arms place the tool centre point more than 200 mm to the side of the main axis, improving access to door rebates, hinges and transitions, with mirrored versions for each side of the body. Arm 2 carries the applicator, colour changer and metering pumps close to the outlet, shortening hoses for faster colour changes with less paint and solvent loss. Axes 2 and 3 use pinion drives directly on the motor shaft without angular gearboxes, and process components sit behind one side cover on arm 1 for easier service. It supports the HTE process and mounts on the floor, a tower or a rail.
Pros
Better access to tight areas
Short hoses cut waste
Lower-maintenance drives
Flexible mounting
Cons
Not available until 2027
Who It Is For
It fits automotive paint shops planning line upgrades from 2027.
