Robotics: Science and Systems 2026 (RSS 2026)

PAST

July 13-17, 2026

Location:

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Venue:

ICC Sydney and University of Technology Sydney

Summary:

RSS is compact compared with the largest IEEE meetings but very influential for robotics research direction. It is particularly valuable for scouting early-stage robotics algorithms, academic labs, PhD talent, and technical trends before they are adopted at scale.

RSS 2026 is the 22nd Robotics: Science and Systems conference, a selective research conference covering the science, algorithms, and systems behind modern robotics. It emphasizes rigorous robotics research across perception, planning, control, learning, manipulation, locomotion, field robotics, multi-robot systems, and the systems issues that make robots work reliably outside the lab.

Previous Edition:

RSS 2025 was the prior annual edition of the Robotics: Science and Systems series.
