FOSDEM 2026 Robotics and Simulation Devroom

PAST

January 31-February 1, 2026

Location:

Brussels, Belgium

Venue:

ULB Brussels, room UB2.147

Summary:

Excellent for robotics software ecosystem intelligence, especially around open-source tooling and developer practices rather than commercial booths. Particularly useful for ROS 2, simulation, localization, logging, Rust robotics and deployment workflows.

The FOSDEM 2026 Robotics and Simulation Devroom was an open-source developer track dedicated to robotics software, simulation, ROS 2, robot localization, data calibration, containerization, cloud-connected robot systems and open robotics tooling. It ran inside FOSDEM, one of the largest open-source developer conferences.

Previous Edition:

FOSDEM 2025 also had a Robotics and Simulation Devroom; the 2026 devroom continued that open-source robotics track.
