T8820 supplies the same large image-grid class as T8810 with a faster Camera Link Full acquisition path. The increased rate comes with a different interface and output-bit-depth scope. It is a candidate when those specific changes improve an established or deliberately designed detailed inspection system.

The manual identifies T8810 as Camera Link Medium with 8/10/12-bit output at up to 3.3 fps. T8820 uses Camera Link Full with 8/10-bit output at up to 6.7 fps.
