Zimmer Group GEP2000

The Zimmer Group GEP2000 is a series of electric 2-jaw parallel grippers with a stroke of 6 mm to 20 mm per jaw and a gripping force ranging from 40 N to 500 N across the sizes. It is designed for small-parts handling and assembly, with the gripping force adjustable in four levels and a mechanical self-locking mechanism that holds the workpiece if power is lost. Closing takes between 0.10 s and 0.63 s, and the repetition accuracy is ±0.02 mm. The grippers weigh 0.18 kg to 1.3 kg, are rated IP40 or IP54 in the long-stroke versions, and meet cleanroom class ISO 2. They run on 24 V and are controlled through IO-Link or digital I/O.
