Swisslog ACPaQ

The Swisslog ACPaQ is a fully automated mixed-case palletizing system in which a KUKA palletizing robot with a four-fork row gripper builds store-ready pallets.

Building a stable pallet from cases of many sizes is the heaviest manual job in grocery distribution. ACPaQ automates it. Its palletizing cell, RowPaQ, uses a KUKA robot with a four-fork row gripper that can pick several cases at once, even of different sizes, and set four units down at different spots on the pallet. Cases are delivered in the right sequence from a shuttle store.
