RightHand Robotics has specialized in piece picking for longer than most. The RightPick 4 gripper combines a suction cup with three compliant fingers: suction lifts the item and the fingers steady it, so one tool handles a lip balm and a large detergent jug without a tool change. The company states cycle times as fast as three seconds, 99.99% autonomous picking and more than 1.2 million production picks per month. An optional swapper changes suction cup types during operation, which it says makes about 1.5 times as many orders fully robot-pickable. A defined API lets integrators attach it to storage systems.
