Piab piCOBOT Electric
The Piab piCOBOT Electric is a fully electric vacuum gripper unit for collaborative robots with a maximum handling weight of 16 kg. An integrated electric pump generates a vacuum level of up to 70 kPa and a flow of 0.79 Nl/s, so no compressed air is needed. It is designed for handling sealed and slightly porous objects in pick-and-place, machine tending and packaging. The pump unit weighs 1.1 kg, runs on 24 V DC with a maximum current of 1.1 A drawn from the robot arm, and is rated IP54. It communicates over RS-485 through an 8-pin M12 connector and has plug-and-play kits for Universal Robots e-Series, Fanuc CRX and ABB GoFa.
