Muratec SHUTTLINER
The Muratec SHUTTLINER is a case transport and sorting system using multiple carriages driven by linear motors, combining the functions of a conveyor and a sorter.
SHUTTLINER sits between a conveyor and a sorter. Each case rides on its own carriage, driven by linear motors along a track. Unlike a conveyor, a carriage can travel in both directions, and junctions are at right angles, which makes the layout simple and compact. Cases are transferred on small belts on the carriage, so varied packaging is handled gently. Muratec says the linear drive is quieter than conveyors.
