LMI Gocator 3500

The LMI Gocator 3500 series is a family of smart 3D snapshot sensors with a 5-megapixel stereo camera, a scan rate of 6 Hz with acceleration and VDI/VDE accuracy from 12 µm.

Laser profilers need the part or the sensor to move. A snapshot sensor does not: it projects structured light and captures a whole area in 3D while the part stands still, which suits stop-and-go lines and robots that pause over a feature. The 3500 series does this at metrology level, with two cameras to reduce hidden areas and accuracy from 12 µm on the small 3506. The rate of 6 Hz requires a PC or LMI's GoMax NX accelerator.
