Hirata Automated Chamfering Machine
The Hirata Automated Chamfering Machine recognizes plate shapes with sensors and cameras, generates its machining program automatically and chamfers top and bottom edges in one pass without flipping.
Chamfering cut plates is tedious work that is hard to automate because every plate is different. Hirata's machine tackles this by measuring each plate with sensors and vision cameras and generating the machining program by itself as soon as material is placed. It chamfers both the top and bottom edges from one direction, so nobody has to flip heavy plates.
