Fronius TPS/i CMT Robotic
Fronius TPS/i CMT Robotic is the Cold Metal Transfer welding configuration of the TPS/i Robotics platform. CMT is a MIG/MAG dip transfer process in which the wire electrode moves forward and backward during welding, keeping heat input and spatter low. In a robotic cell the Robacta Drive CMT unit at the torch and a wire buffer in the hosepack produce the reversing wire motion. The process runs on TPS/i power sources with welding current from 3 A to 600 A and is used on steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
