Fives GENI-GiAnt AMR Sorter

Fives GENI-GiAnt is an autonomous mobile robot sorter for large, heavy and bulky items, with automatic induction, two cross-belts per robot and an embedded traffic management system.
Large items are usually sorted by hand because conveyor sorters cannot take them. GENI-GiAnt applies the robot sorter idea to that problem, handling lamps, beds, washing machines, TVs, sofas and mats. Items enter on a belt conveyor with a volume and barcode reader, and a pop-up places them on a robot automatically. Each robot holds the item with two cross-belts and stops to load and discharge, which keeps handling gentle. Multiple loading and discharge points replace the single entry and exit of a linear system, and the layout can be moved. Throughput and payload are only in the brochure.
