Electron Energy Temperature-Compensated SmCo Magnets
Electron Energy Temperature-Compensated SmCo Magnets
Temperature-compensated SmCo addresses applications in which magnetic-field drift with temperature is a primary design constraint. EEC describes a 2009 zero reversible-temperature-coefficient material with 18 MGOe maximum energy product. That historical material result concerns residual induction over a defined range; it is not a promise that every assembled field remains unchanged under every thermal condition.
Review Summary
Consider SmCo TC for precision instruments whose error budget is sensitive to reversible magnetic drift. Specify the required field stability at the actual sensing or working location, including the complete magnetic structure and temperature range.
