The ek robotics MEDI MOVE is an automated transport robot for hospitals with a payload of up to 500 kg, a speed of up to 1.7 m/s and a stainless steel chassis.
Hospitals move large volumes of meals, linen, waste and sterile goods in wheeled containers, mostly through basement corridors. MEDI MOVE drives under a container, lifts it by up to 170 mm and carries up to 500 kg at up to 1.7 m/s, including at full load. It is long and narrow, 1.9 m by 0.6 m, on a symmetrical six-wheel layout that lets it turn about its own centre in a corridor, and it travels between floors in ordinary freight elevators. The chassis is stainless steel for cleaning.
