EFFECTO EMG2 Electro-Magnetic Gripper
The EFFECTO EMG2-02005 is an electro-magnetic two-finger parallel gripper with 2 mm stroke per jaw, 7 to 10 N total grip force, 0.03 s actuation and ±0.01 mm repeatability, weighing 0.2 kg.
The EMG2 is built for speed with small parts. Its jaws are driven electro-magnetically and open or close in 0.03 s, an order of magnitude faster than motor-driven grippers. Stroke is just 2 mm per jaw and grip force 7 to 10 N, for parts of around 50 g, with ±0.01 mm repeatability. It weighs 0.2 kg and is driven by an external control box at 24 V; position feedback uses optional proximity sensors.
