The DS Automotion AMADEUS tugger is an automated tug that tows up to 4.5 t at up to 2.2 m/s, runs fully automatic, semi-automatic or manual, and is powered by lithium or lead batteries or a hydrogen fuel cell.
The AMADEUS tugger is flexible about who drives. It runs fully automatically, semi-automatically or manually, and a worker can ride without steering. It tows 4.5 t at up to 2.2 m/s, which is fast for an automated tugger. Safety covers the coupling area with a rear scanner, plus a 3D camera, a blue spot and side scanners. Power comes from lithium or lead batteries or a hydrogen fuel cell. Route planning picks the shortest paths, and NAVIOS with VDA 5050 integrates it with other robots.
