Basler ace 2 X visSWIR
The Basler ace 2 X visSWIR is a compact 29 x 29 mm camera for visible and short-wave infrared light up to 1.7 µm, using Sony IMX990 and IMX991 sensors.
Short-wave infrared shows what visible light cannot: moisture, fill levels through plastic, defects under the surface of silicon, and heat from about 140 °C. SWIR cameras used to be large and cooled. The ace 2 X visSWIR puts Sony's IMX990 and IMX991 sensors, in 1.3 MP or VGA, into Basler's 29 mm housing without cooling. For exposures longer than 10 ms Basler recommends external cooling, offered as passive fins or a compressed-air cooler, and says images then remain good up to one second. Line noise reduction and real-time defect pixel correction are built in.
