Addverb Zippy

The Addverb Zippy is a family of robotic sorters; the Zippy 6 carries 6 kg at up to 2 m/s with up to 4 hours of run time, in systems of up to 30,000 sorts per hour.
A robotic sorter replaces a fixed loop conveyor with a floor of small vehicles. Capacity grows by adding robots, and destinations by adding chutes. The Zippy 6 carries 6 kg at up to 2 m/s, runs for four hours and charges in 24 minutes; Addverb states up to 30,000 sorts per hour for a system. Larger models, the Zippy 10, 30 and 40, take heavier items. Addverb cites a parcel customer using 72 Zippy 10 robots for more than 3,000 parcels per hour to 280 destinations.
