Unitree Dex1-1 Review: Specs and Uses of the Force-Controlled Robot Gripper
Updated: 7 days ago

The Unitree Dex1-1 is a two-finger electric gripper with force control, made for Unitree's humanoid robots and for standalone use. Unitree does not list a price on the product page. This review covers its specifications, versions and uses.
Quick Verdict
Not every task needs a five-finger hand. The Dex1-1 is a parallel gripper that opens 90 mm, grips with 5 to 120 N and closes its full stroke in 0.24 seconds. It weighs 550 g and holds 5 kg by friction, or 20 kg when the load is supported by the jaws' shape. Force, speed and position are controlled at 1000 Hz, and fingertip position resolves to 0.1 mm. An advanced version carries a 1080P camera between the fingers. It fits the G1, H2 and R1 humanoids directly.
