Tregaskiss AccuLock R Robotic MIG Consumables Review: Specs, Price and Applications

Tregaskiss AccuLock R is a robotic MIG consumable system designed to reduce planned and unplanned downtime, cut cross-threading during tip changes and extend contact tip life.
Coarse threads and a long tip tail that aligns in the diffuser before threading virtually eliminate cross-threading. About 60% of the tip sits inside the diffuser away from arc heat, and tapered surfaces lock the parts and conduct current. One tip covers 0.023 to 1/8 inch wire.
Quick Verdict
A well-engineered consumable platform that makes tip changes faster and less error-prone.

Design and Operating Principle
In robotic MIG/MAG welding the torch, its mount and its consumables decide arc stability, tool centre point (TCP) accuracy and how often the cell stops. Unplanned downtime usually comes from crashes, worn contact tips, spatter build-up and cable fatigue.
Burying more of the tip in the diffuser keeps it cooler, slowing wear. Tapered seating gives a solid electrical joint, reducing heat at the threads where tips usually fail.
Integration and Selection
Confirm compatibility with the torch, gun and robot already in the cell, and check whether TCP must be re-taught.
Plan maintenance intervals around tip life, reamer cycles and torch exchange so the cell keeps welding between planned stops.
