Quicktron M5 Series Review: Specs of the M5E, M5F and M5B Bin Robots
Updated: 7 days ago

The Quicktron M5 series is a family of small mobile robots that carry single bins between storage robots and pick stations. The manufacturer does not publish prices. This review covers the three models, their specifications and uses.
Quick Verdict
In Quicktron's QuickBin system, tall robots take bins out of the racking and small robots run them to the pickers. The M5 series is the small robot. The newer M5E and M5F are fast, 4.5 m/s without load, and run for 11 to 12 hours; they present the bin at 890 mm, a comfortable working height. The older M5B is slower at 2 m/s, with a 370 mm lift and four hours of battery. All position to ±10 mm by QR codes on the floor.

Design and Build Quality

Each robot is a small base with a raised platform for one bin. The M5E and M5F hold the bin at 890 mm so the picker does not bend.
Software and Integration

The robots follow QR codes on the floor; the M5E and M5F add inertial navigation. In the QuickBin system Quicktron describes them following one another at intervals of one to two seconds.
