The PushCorp SM1202 series is a compact 2.0 hp (1.49 kW) servo spindle with 0 to 12,000 rpm adjustable, reversible speed and ±5% regulation. Continuous stall torque is 0.74 lb-ft air cooled or 1.33 lb-ft liquid cooled, and it weighs 9 lb (4.1 kg).
It uses an ER-20 collet (1/16 to 1/2 in, 1 to 12 mm) or a random orbital sander version balancing 3, 5 or 6 in pads with 3/8, 3/16 or 3/32 in orbits and a dust shroud. It mounts on AFD310, AFD72 and AFD120 devices.

Design and Operating Principle
PushCorp servo spindles are liquid- or air-cooled, permanent magnet, brushless, closed-loop motors that deliver constant torque across the speed range. Fail-safe pneumatic quick-change toolholders let the robot swap media or cutters automatically, and the spindles mount to PushCorp compliance devices or directly to the robot for rigid work.
The random orbital version is ready for automotive-style sanding with dust collection.
Integration and Selection
